I designed this tarot deck for my senior thesis showcase in my last semester at Oakland University. I wanted to design a functioning product that incorporated my love for illustration and I was already contemplating the idea of designing a novelty item. The deck came with an accompanying "How-to" book and I also designed the deck's packaging.
The tarot deck I designed consisted of the 22 cards of the major arcana. The theme of the deck was inspired by the aesthetics and character development of American comic books. For each card, I illustrated characters that personify the card’s meaning. In traditional comics, there are heroes and villains. These characters are given origin stories, abilities, and trials or tribulations that make the audience either root for or despise the character. I treated each character in my deck in the same fashion. In the end, it was a great opportunity to explore character development and mythos and I was able to create story hierarchy with illustration and design in a fun way.
Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum Rebranding
This great Michigan attraction needed a fresh look that reflected the historically rich atmosphere. The logo emblem embodies the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum ambience with its rustic nautical symbol giving a slight vintage appeal.

One of the most important parts of marketing is promoting your business. Providing customers and the target audience with promotional handouts and marketing collateral helps businesses establish visual brand identity. With each marketing piece I design, I like to keep a clean aesthetic that will help each piece get its message across in an accessible and straightforward way.
